[KIT] The places where you should visit once in a life time, Switzerland

Switzerland is the mountainous European country that has so many beautiful places. The name alone conjures up thoughts of the finest chocolates, flashy watches, some hard core neutrality and bank accounts with more zeros than you can imagine. If you once travel to Switzerland you better not to skip these kinds of heaven places, just make the effort to go and see them.

  • Lake Geneva

Whilst still on Lake Geneva, this gorgeous Switzerland is easily one of the most it is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland that you have to visit and especially so in the summertime. (Winter isn’t that bad but the water is a lot colder then so it’s harder to swim in).

Lake Geneva is one of the largest lakes in Europe, with those stunning mountains, beautiful Swiss towns villages (and indeed, the city of Geneva) it is one of the most beautiful lakes in the country.

  • Lauterbrunnen

Lauterbrunnen is the typical postcard Swiss town. It  is nestled in a breathtaking valley and famed for its imposing rocky cliffs and 72 roaring waterfalls, two of which are casually located in the heart of the settlement. This place proposes countless hiking opportunities, as well as all sorts of adventure activities for those who want to feel adrenaline pumping. Youngsters can also have their share of fun, whether it is enjoying a train ride to nearby Interlaken or spotting alpine flowers up the Flower Trail.

  •  Saint Moritz

Alpine resort is another one of those places that is worth checking out as much in the depths of summer and in winter as its gorgeous whatever time you decide to visit.

  • The Matterhorn

The Matterhorn lies on the border between Switzerland and Italy and at a summit of 14, 692 feet. It is one of the tallest mountains in the Alps. If you visit in summer, you get a stunning alpine view which makes even the train journey up here an experience in and of itself. In winter, covered in snow, you get to ski in one beautiful place in Switzerland.

  • Zermatt

Zermatt is a place where you can enjoy skiing or mountaineering. It is not a place for the lazy, as gasoline operated vehicles are prohibited there. Zermatt is also home to the most famous Alpine peak in Switzerland, the Matterhorn, and this place offers summer and winter activities to visitors of all ages.

  • Chateau de Chillon

It is located on a rock on the banks of Lake Geneva. The water castle is the most visited historic building in Switzerland. There is a good reason why this is consistently regarded as one of the most beautiful places, something which will be very clear to you as soon as you arrive there. It is just so amazing and quite unlike anywhere else in Switzerland.

  • Jungfraujoch

Jungfraujoch is the top of Europe and also one of the most popular places. One popular thing to do in the beautiful Bernese Oberland is the train journey to Jungfraujoch the Top of Europe, with an observation terrace and scientific observatory perched at 3,454 meters. The longest glacier in Europe, the Great Aletsch Glacier begins at Jungfraujoch, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The famous Eiger Trail from the Eiger glacier station to Alpiglen clings to the rocks at the foot of the north face.

  •  Abbey of Saint Gall

A UNESCO world heritage site located in St. Gallen, this is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places in Switzerland and one that travellers from all over the world (rightly) flock to see. The interior is also pretty intricately designed and an impressive example of Baroque architecture.
