Kirirom mountain is a very popular tourist attraction site located in Kampong Speu province. It is about 113.9 kilometers from Phnom Penh capital if you take road number 4 and it is estimated to take about 3 hours and 51 minutes. If you calculate from Traeng Trayeung to Kirirom Resort, it is about 16 kilometers. Once, you get up to vKirirom Pine Resort, then you canPlaces to visit on Kirirom mountain camp there or rent a camp, hotel, bungalow there. At vKirirom Pine Resort, you can do many fun activities such as swimming, go horseback riding, cycling, mountain climbing, rope riding, play sports like soccer, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, basketball and you can enjoy your fancy dinner at Pine View Kitchen where you can eat many classy food cook by skilled chefs. Let us say you are bored with vKirirom Pine Resort. Then, you can use that place to serve as your base for your next journey. There are many more places to visit on Kirirom mountain.

First, you should go to Coconut School. It is not far from vKirirom Resort. Based on my estimation, it is roughly 3 kilometers from here. To get there you have to go straight from white shop and continue along the dirt road until you see an intersection and then turn left about 200 meters until you will reach Coconut school. You will be amazed with the innovative style and decoration of the school itself. Everything decoration materials are made out of plastic waste, bottles, caps, tires, etc … . The school also sells drinks like coffee, water, latte, beverages but mostly coffee. If you have your own bottle for the coffee, you will get a discount. The school does not allow any use of plastic cups and those sort of things. And you may be curious why they call this place coconut school when you do not see any teachers or class. Well, it is like an unconventional school, people donate books for their owner to get free coffee. Then, the owner or volunteers will teach anything to the children there like to read, write and speak. You can also rent motorcycles there. The activities that you can do there are taking photos, teaching kids, chilling with a coffee and playing soccer at a small makeshift field with the locals and kids.

Now, let us say you are currently at Coconut school and you keep going along the dirt road about 1 kilometer, you will reach the village. There is a 5 roads intersection there. If you keep going straight less than 1 kilometer, you will reach the top of the mountain which is what people call “King’s domain” or “King’s residence”. You can see beautiful landscape from there like mountain range, forest, lake, sunset and also a temple like structure.

Ok now let us come back to the 5 roads intersection. Now, let us look to the right and you will see the road say “First waterfall 2000 meters”, which is exactly what they tell you. Once you reach there, it is not a waterfall. It is just running water and a lake. You can rent a place and buy something to eat and swim there. The water of that lake is so cold which is great if you visit there in the dry season.

Back to the intersection, if you take the left way, you will reach Srah Srang Lake, which is the lake you see from the top of the mountain, and if you keep going along the way you will reach Kirirom pagoda.Now come back to the intersection, take the road on the right behind you. If you go along that road it will take you the the dragon roundabout which is also a village and keep going forward you will reach Chamka Tae waterfall, which is really a waterfall and it is a beautiful place there.
