In Cambodia, there are many students who graduate from high school and  they still do not know about the major they are going to take when they enter university. This is considered as one of the biggest issues that almost all the students are facing right now. Some students just follow relatives or others to start their career path, but they do not figure out their favorite major to move forward by themselves which states to the point that they cannot continue their studies and doing anything else in short they lose focus. However, there are tips to guide and help them for choosing the right path in the university after finishing their high school. 

First, they need to find out their favorite subject when they were in grade seven until grade twelve. There are many subjects they studied such as Math, Mother tongue, Social Science, Science such as physics, chemistry and biology. The first step for guiding them to the right way is knowing which are their favorite subjects they were good at, at a very young age. Then pick those subjects to make a consideration to the major that all relate. 

Second, they need to do research regarding the major that has those subjects in. And then create a mind map or do a brainstorming on a big piece of paper. After doing this, it is time for them to think about what job they want to do after college. Some students still cannot find their future job that they want to be. However, I suggest everyone to watch YouTube and search on the internet for more detail about each major that they found and put them on the mind map. After watching some YouTube videos and reading some articles, I am pretty sure that you might have some clues regarding the major that interests you even though there are many majors you will find after you try these tips. 

Last but not least, you are required to know the detailed information about the university that you are going to choose for continuing your education since this is also one of the most important factors of all as well. Choosing where you want to study is not that easy, it is as difficult as choosing a major you like. In order to not have any regrets, I highly suggest that you should have the connection with the seniors in each of your favorite schools and ask them how it is going and the curriculum and also ask for their recommendation which school has provided. 

In conclusion, I accept that many students in Cambodia nowadays meet the same problem and they cannot find out what they actually want and like. In other words, defining your true self is pretty much crucial because that will help you out from choosing the wrong way as I see, some people study majors they do not like and until they find their favorite one they have already wasted 3-4 years of their life.
